Martin Smrt contributed the Czech translation that I finally added today after much travelling and studying for my exams. Browsershots is available in 20 languages now. Thank you!

Bulgarian and Turkish, drop-down language selector

Two new translations: Bulgarian by Evgeni Vasilev, Turkish by Muhammet Sevim. Thank you!

Because the language links started taking up too much space in the nav bar, I implemented a drop-down selector with JavaScript. If you have JavaScript enabled and it doesn't work for you, please let me know which browser you are using so I can try to fix it.

Russian translation

Artem Kalimulov has contributed a Russian translation of the user interface. Thank you!

I have improved the system for full UTF-8 support. Now I am looking for translations to Mandarin, Japanese, and Arabic.

With the upcoming release 0.3, the translation system will probably become completely web-based. Until then, have a look at HowToTranslate in the wiki.

Mateusz Jazwiecki has translated the ShotServer user interface to Polish. Thank you! I think we need a drop-down box for the language selector real soon now.

Dutch translation

At long last I got the Dutch translation online. Thanks to Koko Alberti, a good friend that I met in Adelaide in 2003.

Portuguese and Hungarian

Two new translations have been contributed: Portuguese (Brasil) by Marcos José de Oliveira and Fellipe Cicconi, Hungarian by Balázs Szabadi. Thank you!

There are some new strings on the new start page that need to be translated too. I will probably send mail to all translators soon. Maybe I'll merge the two .pot files for liteweb and shotserver first.

New translations are always welcome, have a look at HowToTranslate. If you find anything that could be improved, please don't hesitate to comment on the blog or send mail or open a ticket in Trac.

More languages: Spanish and French

The ShotServer user interface has been translated to Spanish and French. I'm still looking for translators for Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin, Malay, and Hebrew, or any other language that you know. If you want to write a translation, grab the .pot files here.

Release 0.2.3

A new release is available on the downloads page. There are two new translations for the ShotServer: Finnish and Estonian. Database performance was improved considerably. The screenshot factory for MSIE 6.0 was tuned to use Flash 7 and cookies, but only half the RAM.
